Re: In accessibility of the Hulu app on the phone

2020-12-02 Thread Mary Otten
Nope. I can search in the Hulu app. That isn’t the problem. The problem is that
there does not seem to be an efficient way to find out what they actually have
an offer without a ridiculous laborious process. Big fat Hulu fail!
Oddly enough, they just had an update today which talks about Accessibility
improvements. That wasn’t one of them.

2020-12-02 Thread Candy Lowe
You may want to try using the tv app. In other words, type the name of the
show that you wish to watch in the tv app. Basically, when it shows up in your
search results, it will bring you to hulu if that program is available on hulu.
Then, the next time you go to the tv app, if you have not finished the series,
it will say, continue watching, and it will name the program. I find this much
easier to use hulu this way. If you need any more help, let me know.

Re: Is the Hulu app accessible?

2018-04-15 Thread Mama Peach
It is somewhat accessible, you can browse more easily than you can search. The
search feature is not accessible at all. You can browse for different genres
and other things to find what you want to watch. Before you could do nothing.

RE: Hulu app and VoiceOver

2018-04-02 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Hi Conrad,

TThe Hulu app has been updated. I had to delete the app from my phone and
reinstall it. The app is now quite accessible. My understanding from an earlier
post by Mama Peach is, the search function is not user friendly at this point.
Since I was just becoming familiar with the app, I did not use the search
function. I was able to read through the various selections available and start
playing episodes. I absolutely defer to Mama Peach on the search feature. I
believe she has had past and present experience with the app.

My suggestion would be to delete the app and download again. I also rebooted my
phone.

As of now the hulu app is totally inaccessible. It has been that way for about
three months. There is a work around. You can use the tv app and link it to
your hulu account.

If you need any help, let me know.

Re: Hulu App

2017-10-16 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello,

It would be nice to see Hulu fix the issues with the app on the Apple TV. The
app is mostly usable but you can not find anything usable to tell what
VoiceOver is focused on in your My Stuff tab. VoiceOver will simply read new
item, or continue watching. VO will not read the title of the show. The media
companies simply don
T understand accessibility.

Re: Hulu App

2017-10-14 Thread Liz Ulrich and LD Hope
Hello! I am having the same issues with HuLu that you are experiencing. I
talked to a customer support person and he said that in the next update
problems with voiceover should be resolved. I will believe this when it
happens. In the meantime, their is a work around. Use the TV App on your phone
to search for programs. You will then be able to bring up the program on HuLu
and watch it. I hope this helps. I will be glad when HuLu resolves the
voiceover issues, and they eventually sort it out.

Hulu App

2017-10-14 Thread Kelly Ford
Hello,

What sort of success have people had using the Hulu app with VoiceOver? I can
make some selections but when it gets down to the most critical, I do not seem
to be able to activate items.

For example, I can select the browse tab and then networks. At that point there
is a list of categories such as live entertainment sports and such. But when I
try and activate one of those items, which would lead to networks under that
category, double tapping does nothing.

As another example, I can activate the my stuff tab but then the categories of
items under that are not able to be activated with a double tap using voiceOver

Re: hulu app

2015-02-28 Thread Ann
I haven't been able to get you loopless to work for me for almost 2 years. Ever
since I came out with that one update a couple summers ago if you like it broke
the whole program.
I'm really upset about that, because I am missed the better part of two years
of lawn order SVU :-) anyway I recently read subscribed to the service it is
still the same thing is still broken and places or voiceover can't get into it
especially when you want to read the synopsis of the episode you're trying to
watch.

 suggestions?
