IPod touch sixth generation battery life
For those of you who have purchased the newest iPod touch, I am curious how is the battery life? I have an iPad mini, which I like quite a bit, but I know that the touch has a little bit better chip in it. I also have an iPhone 5 S, which I'm really satisfied with, but I noticed that I'm not getting the battery life out of it that I used to, not surprising given how much I use it. So I'm thinking about upgrading my phone and turning the 5S into more or less an iPod touch. My old for S is about done. I'm curious about the new touches battery life, however, because it would be far cheaper to get one of those and then it would be to purchase a new phone. All of this is just in the thinking stage. I have read articles about the battery life compared to the iPad mini, but of course, that is with the video fully engaged. And I don't plan to do that with a new touch. So, any comments would be appreciated. Mary Sent from my iPhone -- The following information is important for all members of the VIPhone list. Re: IPod touch sixth generation battery life
I bought it on July 19th. I usually lock it while listening to books or music. I am not sure it is getting as good battery life as my 5th Generation did when I had it. They say you should get 40 hours of playback when locked. I'm probably getting half of that or less, I think. I have not kept a running log or anything, so it might be more. That still isn't bad but not what I expected. Re: IPod touch sixth generation battery life
Thanks, richard. 20 hours or so of playback with the screen locked is kind of disappointing, especially considering you have a new device with a new battery. it can only be down from here. I will be curious if others on the list have similar performance. Sent from my iPhone On Aug 27, 2015, at 12:46 PM, Richard Turner richardturne...@outlook.com wrote: I bought it on July 19th. Re: IPod touch sixth generation battery life
the next time I run it way down and fully charge it, I'll try to keep beter track. In fact, maybe I will do what I did when I got my 5th gen a few years ago. I'll set it to shuffle and lock it and let it run and see what happens. I have almost 4 days worth of music, so that won't be a problem.
