Re: Instructions needed to have my Outlook express E-mail sent to my phone required!
One point I want to add concerning Chris's reply; this is regarding POP3 service (I know very little about IMAP so will refrain from commenting to that regard). If you are using POP3 service, you may run into a slight problem in that switching from a single device-based e-mail client to having two devices accessing the same account may result in some issue with both devices receiving all messages. Here's what I mean; suppose on your PC you have the POP3 service configured such that the messages are deleted from the server when they're downloaded to that PC. Well, if those messages are removed from the e-mail server before your iPhone has a chance to attempt to retrieve them, the iPhone will never get them. And if you have the e-mail client on your iPhone similarly configured, the PC may never get messages removed from the server after being downloaded to the iPhone. Now, you can always disable that specific aspect of configuration (on both PC and iPhone), but then you'll need to take measures to eventually remove those messages from the server. There is, the last time I checked into it, a limit on the amount of disk space ISP entities allow any e-mail service so you will need to purge the server of old messages in some fashion. Just a cautionary note, that's all. Holland's Boy, Bill - Clothes make the man. Re: Instructions needed to have my Outlook express E-mail sent to my phone required!
What do you mean have Outlook Express mails sent to your phone? Are you asking about how to synchronize your email messages between Outlook Express on your PC and the email client on your iPhone? I think typically people just set up an account on their iPhone to point to the same email provider that they point to with Outlook Express. It looks like that would be ntlworld.com in your case. If you're using IMAP or Exchange, this would give you access to all of your email from both your iPhone and your PC running Outlook Express. If you're using POP, then you'd be able to look at all new and incoming messages on either or both devices. To set up a new account on your iPhone, go to Settings - Mail, contacts, Calendars and double tap on the add new account button. Select other and then add new mail account. Now walk through the wizard using the same information you used when you set up your email in Outlook Express. I apologize if I misunderstood your question or told you stuff you already know. If you have any more questions though, don't hesitate to ask. On 02/04/2014 09:38 AM, Bluesman02 wrote: Hi all, Is it possible to have Outlook express mails sent to your phone, and if so how?
