Thanks for the reminder Mike, I believe this was introduced in iOS 16 and I had 
totally forgotten this was possible now. I just had a look at my deleted 
messages and it's a nice and clean interface, Voicover reads the name of the 
person, how many messages are in the conversation and how many days are left 
before the message/conversation is deleted for good. I think you can access 
messages deleted up to 30 days ago.
