Hi Sheryl,
As Chris pointed out, how much video you can rrecord depends on the size of you
riPhone and how much free space you have left. Anybody who likes to take video
should really never consider a 16 Gb phone especially if they buy a new 6S or
6S Plus which has the ability to record 4K video. You only have about 12 Gb of
free space on a 16 Gb iPhone even without installing any apps or storing
pictures or music and of course most of use would have some of these items.
Anyhow, even if a 16 Gb model was completely empty otherwise, you could record
only 30 minutes of 4K video before it would be completely filled up. But, now
back to your 6 Plus. Below is how much video is taken up if you record in 720P,
1080P and 4K for one minute of video:
A minute of 720p at 30FPS takes up 60MB
A minute of 1080p at 30FPS takes up 130MB (this is the default setting for the
iPhone)
A minute of 4K on a 6S or 6S Plus will take up 375 Mb - about 2.5 times as much
as 1080P at 30 FPS.
If you have a 64 Gb iPhone 6S Plus and you have say 30 Gb of free space, you
could still record a pretty impressive 230 minutes (almost 4 hours) of video at
1080P. Just look up how much free space you have in Settings > General >
Storage and iCloud, then, if you want tor ecord in 1080P (the default), divide
your free space which is given in Gigabyte by 0.13 (130 Mb is 0.13 Gb) and this
will tell you approximately how many minutes you can reord.

Sieghard
