Re: Message Alerts vs Notification Center

2022-09-30 Thread Mike B.
Hi Richard,

Hot damn, I think you naled it! I needed to have show as banner selected
when I didn't have allow in notification center selected. I thought the
banner setting was more a visual thing so I never selected it. Thank you
very very much!

Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go Dodgers!

OK,

Under Settings, Notifications, mail, find the customize notifications
button. There will be separate settings for each account if you have more
than one account.

You can assign a different sound for each account if you want, but you will
want to be sure that Alert, Sounds, and Badges are on under this section.

Again, on the first level, leave notification center unselected.

For messages, I have allow notifications on at the very top.

Then, in the alerts heading, Allow on lock screen and allow as banner are
selected. Allow in notification center is not selected.

I also have announce notifications on.

I have show previews as never.

Notification grouping is automatic.

I don’t have to clear messages from the notification center.

I read them and they are gone…

Thank you very much. I've tried as you've suggested several times but, if I

Open settings, notifications.

Find the Mail app.

Flick to Allow in notification Center, if that says selected, double tap and
it should no longer say selected.

Back out of the settings, and that should fix it.

The same for messages.
