I'd contact Apple Accessibility to start with.  However, being this is
an application in Windows, I'd press the Windows key + the letter f to
go into the Micro Soft Feedback and send this problem to them as well.
That way it is being worked on from both ends, so, the hotkeys don't
compete with some other hotkey.

I can only pause and play by tabbing to that button and hitting the

I do not know if authorizing is in the Apple Music app, I have not
found it.

Since I had already authorized the computer with iTunes, I suspect
that is not necessary to do again.

I  cannot find a way to do a shortcut for the Apple Music app.  I
could do that for the Apple Devices app.

In the Apple Music app on the PC does anyone know what the jaws

If you had read the two articles I provided links for, you
would know the answer regarding Podcasts and Audio Books:

"For audiobooks and podcasts, Windows users still use the
iTunes for Windows app."

and the person who said these apps for Windows 11 also
didn't read the articles as he stated, but if he had he
would have also read that these apps are available for
both Windows 10 and 11. The article from the Verge also
had links for the user guides for all three apps:

Apple has announced a major change for Windows users who
use iTunes for Windows with an iPhone or to access Apple
Music and Apple TV. For Windows 10 or later, Apple has
released new “standalone experiences” for Apple Music and
Apple TV as well as a new Devices management app to
replace former functionality in iTunes for Windows:

2024-02-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
If you want to try Apple Music you also have to download Apple TV and Apple
Devices, if you don't and open iTunes you will be prompted to download them.
After you download the new apps, all iTunes is good for is Podcasts and Audio
Books and if you want to go back to using iTunes you have to first uninstall
the 3 new apps.
And for those who don't believe me, here is an article directly from Apple
Support, first I give the link for those who want to read it online and next I
pasted the article for those who don't:

Download iTunes for Windows - Apple
Support<https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT210384>

In Windows 10 and later, you can access your music, video content, and Apple
devices in their own dedicated apps: Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple
Devices app. If your PC doesn’t support these apps, you can continue to use
iTunes for Windows.

Use the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices app for Windows
Instead of iTunes, you can use three dedicated apps designed specifically for
listening to music, watching content, and managing your Apple devices.

Apple Music app
Listen to and manage music from your iTunes library, including your iTunes
Store purchases.
Learn more about the Apple Music app for
Windows<https://support.apple.com/guide/music-windows/welcome>

Apple TV app
Watch and manage movies and TV shows from your iTunes library, including your
iTunes Store purchases.
Learn more about the Apple TV app for
Windows<https://support.apple.com/guide/tvapp-windows/welcome>

Apple Devices app
Manually update, back up, restore, and manage your iPhone or iPad. And manually
sync content from your PC.
Learn more about the Apple Devices app for
Windows<https://support.apple.com/guide/devices-windows/welcome>

Important things to know about the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple
Devices app
·You need Windows 10 or later.
·You need to download all three apps: Apple Music app, Apple TV app,
and Apple Devices app. If you download only one of these apps, iTunes will
prompt you to download the other two apps to access your music and video
content from your iTunes library.
·After you download these apps, you can use iTunes to access only your
podcasts and audiobooks.
·The Apple Music app and Apple TV app read the contents of your iTunes
library — so don't delete your iTunes library.
·To access your iTunes Store purchases in the Apple Music app and Apple
TV app, you need to authorize your computer with your Apple
ID<https://support.apple.com/kb/HT201251>.
What happens to iTunes after you download the Apple Music app, Apple TV app,
and Apple Devices app
After you download the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices app,
you won't see any of your music or video content in iTunes. And you can't use
iTunes to manually sync and manage your iPhone or iPad. You can use iTunes to
access only your podcasts and audiobooks.
To access your music and video content from your iTunes library, use the Apple
Music app and Apple TV app. To manage your iPhone or iPad, use the Apple
Devices app.
Download and update the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices app
·Download the Apple Music app for Windows from the Microsoft
Store<https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/apple-music-preview/9PFHDD62MXS1?hl=en-us=us=1>
·Download the Apple TV app for Windows from the Microsoft
Store<https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/apple-tv-preview/9NM4T8B9JQZ1>
·Download the Apple Devices app for Windows from the Microsoft
Store<https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/apple-devices-preview/9NP83LWLPZ9K>
After you download the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices app,
you can check for updates in the Microsoft Store.

If your PC doesn't support the Apple Music app, Apple TV app, and Apple Devices
app
If your PC doesn't meet the system requirements for the Apple Music app, Apple
TV app, and Apple Devices app, you can continue to use iTunes for Windows.
How to get iTunes for Windows

Hi,
In the Apple Music app on the PC does anyone know what the jaws shortcut key is
to play and pause a song? Also, how do you make shortcuts to the desktop when
you are using the apps?

Having said what I did just a minute ago, it is of course very risky to have
all your music in iTunes Media and not to have any backups just as it is risky
not to have backups of all your other data whether documents, pictures or music.

The services of iTunes are not going away, just the one single application to
handle video, music, movie purchases, iPhone backup/restore.
All your music from iTunes should be available in the Apple Music app Though I
have never used Apple products on a Windows system this is what Apple did for
Macintosh a few years ago.

RE: More indications iTunes may soon be gone

2024-02-10 Thread 'john riehl' via VIPhone
They are for both windows-11 and 10.

Those apps are for windows 11, correct? I saw that in the headline of an
article that I didn’t bother to read. I don’t have 11 and can’t get it on my
current windows machine, so I’m thinking I will still have iTunes. Fortunately
I don’t have to use it very much.

RE: More indications iTunes may soon be gone

2024-02-10 Thread Richard Turner
Sieghard,

I tried looking in the Microsoft store yesterday after reading the article I
posted about the full versions being out.

I could not find the one for music.

There was one for Apple TV Plus, and I think the one for “Apple devices”, but
no music.

Do you happen to have its exact name? I’ll try again.

I figure that is the way things are going, finally, so I may as well check them
out.
