RE: Most recent Facebook app for iPhone:

2021-02-21 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Is it just that issue about going out of a post in Newsfeed and back to your
list? If so I would have never noticed the issue because I always do a scrub
gesture to go back anyways, just something I got used to and so far in this
latest version I have not yet encountered a single time when the scrub didn't
work to take me back.

Hello listers,

Regarding the latest Facebook update, I'd like to weigh in with two
suggestions. First, make your FB friends aware of the problem by posting about
this accessibility issue. Second, you can get back to your news feeed by going
to the menu. It's a bit of a pain, and an extra step. But it works. I
accidentally updated the APP this morning, and now wish I could just go back to
the previous update. I wonder how we might make those responsible aware of the
issue, especially since, during this pandemic, many of us, like our sighted
friends and family, rely on FB to keep us informed of news about others. This
current update is another example of how insensitive APP developers continue to
remain when it comes to accessibility for us who use voiceOver.

Hello,
The issue people are talking about is that when you open up a post there is no
back button. You have to use the scrub gesture to back out of posts now. This
only appears to be happening on the iPhone. I checked on my iPad and there is
still a back button there.

Most recent Facebook app for iPhone:

2021-02-20 Thread Michael McKay
Hi! Folks:

I just thought I would drop a quick message, and ask what the information is
about the Facebook app recent update for the iPhone and other mobile or smart
phones.

I have heard that people are saying not to download it as there are issues.
However I haven’t heard anything other than that nobody has gone into any of
the information to to explain what the issues are, unless I’ve missed a few
emails. If I have I apologize.

Could someone please let me know what the issues are as I have download it all
my new updates except for the Facebook app update.

Should I delete that update or just wait until the newer one comes out.

Thank you in advance.

Highest Regards!
Michael G. MacKay BA, ‘05.
