That sounds like a defective unit. The off button should be a hard switch in 
the hinge of the boom mic.

Wondering if anyone else using this earpiece has trouble getting it to
turn off?

I love this earpiece but it seems to be a struggle to get it to turn off.
I suspect it is just a problematic unit and getting it replaced will
solve the problem.

Does anyone else have this issue?

How long after you flip the microphone to the off position do you need
to wait until it turns off?

Does it turn off every time for you or do you have to do this several
times before it works?

Is this just a problem with my unit?
