My Daily Thoughts
Hi list, I just upgraded to the latest version of My Daily Thoughts version 2.03. It has broken the delete feature entirely! I don't know how to do that or get rid of this Latin crap that is on there with each entry. I had the older version. I had to purchase it again, also. Hi, When I first open the app, here is what I have from left to right: Change date, then time and date of last entry, new entry button, then the entry I typed in, then settings button, search, browse by date, delete, and next toolbar. Maybe double tap on the next toolbar to see if it brings those options up. Jennie, What version of this app do you have? I have 2.0.3. It is the paid version. This is what I see when I open up a journal: here is what I have from left to right: Back btn; name of journal; date/time of most recent entry; search btn; PDF export btn; then new entry button. I do not see settings button, search, browse by date, delete, and next toolbar. Maybe double tap on the next toolbar to see if it brings those options up. What version do you have? There is no Delete button. There is an Undo button and there is a button to change the date. Those are the buttons I've seen. And the Undo button only shows up when you are in the edit field of what you have written. Maybe there is more that I have not seen. Please advise. Thank you. My daily thoughts
Recently I downloaded my daily thoughts lite app. I entered in a test journal entery but couldn't seem to delete it it. Is there a way to delete entries? I'd like to purchase the full app but wanted to make sure I could delete entries if I needed to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much. If you flick right from the entry, there i a delete button just beside the browse by date button. Questions about My Daily Thoughts app
Hi, Recently I started using the my daily thoughts app for journaling on my 4s and I like it very much. But I do have a couple of questions. 1 When I created my first entry I was able to create a category. Now when I go back into that journal I can neither create additional categories nor find any reference at all to categories. What am I missing? Second, and this is weird, On the screen where I write my entry, there appears a longish passage of what looks like Latin text. Does anyone else see this or know what it is? Thanks for any help. Btw, I emailed the developer and thanked them for such a great job with accessibility and also to ask about future dropbox integration. I'll let the list know what I hear back. Graphic designers and printers often use latin text as filler, or dummy text, to show how the text would look on the page (or screen in this instance.) You can track all sorts of things in Daily Tracker. Another option which may not have been considered because it is marketed as more of a notes/list app is List Recorder. You can use list recorder as a very effective diary. Just setup a folder for your diary and add entries as normal. The thing I like about it is that if you don't want to type much you could just put in an audio recording and just speak your entry. Sorry I haven't really followed this thread. Has anyone installed Day One on there Mac since the recent updates to both the iOS and Mac versions of the app? I bought both of these a while back as I wanted something that would sync between the two platforms. At the time the Mac version wasn't really that accessible or at least it certainly wasn't a pleasure to use. Along the bottom you will see things like 56 cloud, 18 envelope, 25 circle west, and 21 circle east. I'm not exactly what the west and east buttons mean, but they seem to scroll different options. So, keep tapping one of these until you see 06 magnify. This will bring up a list with a search box on top. Just swipe right over and over to see each entry from newest to oldest. It will read it first and at the end will tell you the date and time. If you want to go to a specific one, just double tap the entry you want. If you use the 83 calendar instead, it's not as friendly. Basically this shows what entries you have for today, and near the upper part of the screen you can tap other days to bring those up. It will read it first and at the end will tell you the date and time. If you want to go to a specific one, just double tap the entry you want. If you use the 83 calendar instead, it's not as friendly. Basically this shows what entries you have for today, and near the upper part of the screen you can tap other days to bring those up.
