Re: Need Some Navigon Help

2016-10-02 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Rob,

I’ve never seen a time limit on new maps for Navigon and I’ve had the app for 7
years. You can pay for more regular map updates but I don’t bother.
Often, when there’s a major update to the app, all the maps disappear and you
have to redownload them all.

Cheers,

Anne

RE: Need Some Navigon Help

2016-10-01 Thread Rob
Is there a free update for Navigon maps? I have had Navigon for several years.
Usually, there is a free map update about once a year. But I haven't seen any
message in the app or any other indication that a map update is available. Did
I miss something? There is usually a limited time to take the map update free.

Hello Jed,

I’m just getting to grips with the new look of Navigon.
In the Map Manager, no maps are downloaded automatically. You have to
double-tap with one finger on each map that you want, then go to the bottom of
the list and double-tap on Accept Changes or whatever it says. The selected
maps will then start downloading, and beside each will be the amount already
downloaded followed by a slash and the full size of the map. Clicking on the
Open button must do something visual because all I find is a Close button.
I had to uninstall and reinstall Navigon to make the Map Manager do its job.

Cheers,

Anne
