I did it the other way round.
I added the Apple TV app to the SamSung TV and use the SamSung remote on the
SamSung to access Apple TV, so I don't need the physical Apple TV at all.
That is partly why we bought the SamSung TU8000 Smart TV.
I think my sighted wife helped with a lot of the setup so I don't remember the
step-by-step process.
But if you get into the Apps screen on the TV, you can open Apple TV or add it
if it isn't there, and then log in with your Apple ID.
Easier done with a keyboard or a sighted helper.

Hi I am wondering if anyone in this group has had success getting their Samsung
smart TV remote to work as the remote for the Apple TV fourth generation if so

I went to remote in settings in the Apple TV after reading a document that said
this is how this is done then hit learn remote but the process was not
accessible voiceover so I had a cited friend to assist me but now when I go in
to Apple TV for and use the remote for the TV all it does is take me into TV
shows not allow me to arrow through the different menus and apps. Please help
if you can since this used to work fine but then my TV acted up one day and
then setting up my Rogers cable box again as I am in Canada for some reason the
Apple TV stuff doesn't work anymore.
