Netflix Language Menu in iOS

Some referred to the fact that turning on audio description for Neflix is in 
the language menu on iOS. I have explored the app for nearly half an hour, 
doing searches, pressing the unlabeled buttons, etc., and cannot get to 
settings or language  menu. Choosing my name on the account often brings up the 
ability to set viewer profiles, but I am finding nothing here either. Could 
someone assist, please?

Hi, Christine,

The languages menu is in the player once you begin playing a video. I'd suggest 
you log out and log back in once you set it up the first time. This seems to 
make it show up reliably, and for me, at least, has permanently set Audio 
Description as the default option.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to logout and in again.  I have to admit 
that I am very frustrated right now as I can't get it to work on the Apple TV 
even after signing out/into Netflix. I'll try it on the iPhone.

Someone mentioned that the latest Apple TV update disables the audio 
description and if that is the case, well, I don't know.

The reason for my frustration is that there has been a lot of favorable 
publicity for Netflix this week over this and the fact that I am having so much 
trouble getting to the description is a little disheartening.

I had high hopes of demonstrating this to others this evening with the Apple TV 
and felt like an idiot when it wouldn't work. Let's hope things get ironed out.

I agree. I spent awhile on the phone with a rep. I told them it was near the 
top story on their blog so they'd know what it is. They couldn't make it 
happen on their iPhone 6 or iPad, but after the call, one more sign out and 
in got it going on my 6. The description won't work on my old 4S that I 
prefer to use as a media player though. I really hope when the next title 
they add that has it hits, we don't have to keep signing in and out 
repeatedly to have it work. I was one of the few in the bug category where 
signing out and in didn't help at first.
