This is true Ron. Also, the sound when you actually double tap to click on
an item is very loud like a sharp crack. Crazy.

Hi all. Am observing that the alert sounds on the iPhone 5s seem to
be a lot quieter than on other devices like the 5 or the iPod. When I
refer to alert sounds I refer to sounds like when you initiate a
dictation in an email or text box by clicking the dictate button or by

using a 2 finger double tap.

Does anyone else notice this or can confirm this? Also, I can't see
that there is a way to adjust this volume on these alerts.

Yes but the alert sounds that I am referring to our ones that are built into
the software and cannot be changed. These are not the text tone alerts and
ringtone alerts these are the alerts for initiating dictation exiting dictation
Key clicks on the screen initiating Siri those types of sounds. .

Re: Observation about alert sounds on iPhone 5s

2013-11-21 Thread Ricardo Walker
Really?

It sure does effect the alerts on my iPhone 5 and my iPad mini retina. Turn
down the volume there, and the ringtone and alert volume is lowered.

2013-11-20 Thread M. Taylor
You are absolutely correct on this, Brent. And, by the way, I hate the new
sound levels. I guess my hearing is not as good as those who work at Apple.

It took me weeks to get used to the new sound levels and it's still a
struggle.

Hi all. Am observing that the alert sounds on the iPhone 5s seem to be a lot
quieter than on other devices like the 5 or the iPod. When I refer to alert
sounds I refer to sounds like when you initiate a dictation in an email or
text box by clicking the dictate button or by using a 2 finger double tap.
Does anyone else notice this or can confirm this? Also, I can't see that
there is a way to adjust this volume on these alerts.
