Re: Perkinput
I like this concept of doing Braille one-handed. I'm not clear on how to hold my fingers if it's going to be across the screen or lengthwise does the home key go to the writer left. For instance my C letter comes out-I've tried turning the phone different ways but we're having fun in any case. Grim. Personally, I would like to see an option for switching to computer braille, but as the fourth finger position is used to indicate a blank column in the braille cell, this would be difficult. The instructions fail to mention how to backspace, which appears to be two three-finger swipes left or right while the iPhone is in landscape / braille input mode. The instructions are not clear about returning to the main screen by performing a three-finger swipe in the 90 degrees direction from the double swipe for backspace. Finally, comma (dot 2) is missing from the current braille input table. This is a braille keyboard entry app that I will use, especially as I can use it one-handed. Once you enter the dots to configure the letter, VO will announce it then you simply continue on with the next letter. To enter a space you tap with the pinkie finger. perkinput feedback
Hello I like the concept of your app although I'll probably stick to a 2 handed inpot method. i can see how in some instances it could be useful to have one hand free. So here are some first impressions: I could not easily find a way to send feedback. Would be nice if you added this as an option within the app. It would be good if the app would indicate how to hold the phone in landskape; with home button to the left or right. As it is, it took me a few tries to realise I have to turn the phone around 180 degrees. Also there's not clear documentation about deleting and editing in the input screen. Great start and intresting concept. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
