I just downloaded The Bully Pulpit by Doris Kerns Goodwin, which is 910 pages. It took about 12 seconds to download. It took maybe 5 seconds to load. I suspect that would be much longer on my SE. So, not bad. From: Richard Turner Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2019 1:57 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Problem downloading Bookshare books with Voice Dream Reader was RE: VoiceDream and the Rotor I missed the first part of this thread. Downloading is working fine with iOS 13.1, 12.4.1 and Voice Dream Reader 4.9.1. If downloading is a problem, check your internet connection or check the number of apps opened. Someone named Albert I think gave directions to delete a book; but those are directions for the Audible app, not Voice Dream Reader. Voice Dream Reader doesn't have a Delete button at the top; it has an edit button. Then, you select the book you want to delete and flick right until you find the delete button and double tap. Re: Problem downloading Bookshare books with Voice Dream Reader was RE: VoiceDream and the Rotor
I missed the first part of this thread. At least until he fixes the use of the rotor actions to simply flick down to delete. Richard Always look out for #1, and be careful not to step in #2. Scroll through the list to find the book I want to delete, then swipe back to the Delete Button that appears just ahead of the book title and one finger double tap. 3. Double tap the Delete Button I land on after the above action and the book will be taken out of the onboard library. 4. Wash, rinse and repeat for as many books as I wish to remove. 5. Once I'm done, I go back to the items above the book list and double tap on the Delete Button once again to turn it off. For other interactions with the book I find a Menu Button below each title that offers me several things to do with the book. So, I cannot turn the rotor and get options for deleting, moving, or interacting with the book in question. The only way to do it is to click "edit" and the select the book and get to the menu from there. I have already let the developers know about this.
