Yes, it is available in australia, but it isn't spelled as it sounds. The 
dramas of being a blindy! The correct spelling is: 
Moovit 
Searching under that spelling will turn it up in the app store.

I haven't read all the replies to this thread, so someone else may have already 
mensioned this app. 

I would use MoveIt for this purpose, if it works in your area. Select the bus 
route, then just start live directions to the stop you are after.

I come up against this fairly regularly in Dublin. are use blind Square and 
have my bus stop marked as a favourite. I also have this facility turned on so 
when I'm approaching my bus stop I get sometimes and I know I have reached it. 
fantastic for this purpose. Worth every penny alone for this purpose.

BlindSquare can also provide you with street names as well as other points of

In Blind Square you can mark the stop as a favorite and it will be announced, 
and you can even track your progress towards it. In my experience, it might be 
better to mark the previous stop, as you might not get the announcement until 
you are actually there, and won’t have time to pull the cord, press the button, 
etc.

Turns out I already have Blind Square. How do I get it to announce 
intersections? Also... Can I set my home address somehow? Being as though I 
just moved just need to know where I am. Lol.
