How longwill that last though. I got the two year deal with the
bundle for $134 and kt would creep up. At the end of that time my
bill jumped from $170 something to $257. That was when I said goodbye
to AT
I do not care to bundle too, because if one service goes out they all
do and I had too many outages with them to suit me.
Now I pay separetly for everything. I don't like what they charge for
phone but internet isn't bad, and Spectrum tv should not be as high as
it is but now they charge for any little thing you ask for; I wanted
Encore and Sundance; before it was included in their basic package
with the cable box; now i't isn't. If I didn't have the trees issues
here and the fact I use a TiVo so I can use description when I want,
I'd cut the cord too and get a very good indoor antenna, but it won't
work in this area.

Didn't know Tivo did audio subscription now?! Awesome.
You just have to watch when you cord cut. All the little prices add up.

had no complaints.
Directv was bought out by AT, so they have two TV packages.

I know it is rediculous.
I'm looking at my indoor TV antenna options for the local channels. My neighbor
said she had 30 free channels just with an HD antenna.

Just a guess, but I wonder if prices are going up because people are
cutting the cord. A guy from AT came to my door one night, the
nerve; and wanted to sell me a basic cable package with a $400 gift
card.
I said no thanks.
He wanted to know why I didn't have uverse and I said I didn't like
it, it didn't have what I wanted. He said so many people are just
streaming now, he was totally amazed that people were getting rid of
their cable.
If the companies were not so darn greedy, it would be different. AT
is by far the worst, in my opinion.

Its all crazy. The directv part of my bill jumped from $155 to $175. That
pushed the bill over $300 I was like no, that is rediculous. They said everyone
was price raising. I have better things to do with my money.

No one needs TV, especially for that price.

RE: Cord cutting adventure continues

2018-03-03 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Hi,

Are you speaking of the DirectTV or DirectTV Now app? We are thinking of
getting rid of TimeWarner. We did this a long time ago with Dish and were
extremely sorry. We can't put a dish up due to too many trees across the
street.

Thanks,

Lynda

That is crazy.

We have ATT U-verse cable and Internet bundle, and we are paying $120.00 for
200 channels and 7 MBPS Internet.

That seams too much.

I have been talking to blind users of the Amazon Firestick, Apple TV, and I am
weighing my options.

Please keep us up to date with what you can find.

Thanks for this conversation, because ATT U-verse cable is not accessible at
all. My wife has to read the guide and everything.

Well, guess who calls today? Yep, Directv. They found deals for me. $63 a month
for 12 months. $56 for first 3 months, and a $300 Visa gift card. So, only a
few dollars more than my cord cutting option. I accept, and I can call ATT to
get discount on Internet since i'm bundling. Well, they call back 20 minutes
later. They made a mistake with the crediting. $76 a month. I'm like no! Put me
on hold again. Come back $80 off first month. I'm like no! cancel it, this is
ridiculous!

RE: Cord cutting adventure continues

2018-02-28 Thread Jeremy Gilley
Oh,

I don't have direct TV.

Just ordered their normal television.

They are only charging me $90.99 for television, and internet where my cable
was charging me $200.

Still get over 200 channels, and 50 MB of internet speeds.

I don't do a load of downloading, or uploading, so the speeds are fine with
me.

2018-02-27 Thread joedinero68
I use Cablevision here in NY currently paying $175 a month for top tier
cable/150mb internet and 2 land lines which I require. This includes 3 boxes in
the house. To me this is a pretty good deal I wish I could cut the cord but due
to phone needs this is the better way to go for me.
