RE: Fake stereo mode on Airpods Pro 2?
Oops! About the Control Center, that should have been a swipe up with three fingers after touching the status bar. Here are the directions again for turning it off, only correctly given. To turn off Spatialized Stereo: Start something playing like a BARD book. Pause it. Bring up the Control Center, either sliding down from the top with one finger to the first vibration and lift or touch the status bar and then swipe up with three fingers. Find the Volume button on the Control Center and do either a one finger triple tap or a one finger double tap and hold. This brings up the context menu. Find Spatialized Stereo and double tap to turn it off. Now, you will have your standard mono sound with BARD books again. It is not a bug. It is called Spatialized Stereo, which is different than Spatial Audio in that it is an attempt to create a stereo sound out of a mono source. Hi, I experience the same thing when using my iPhone 12 mini with hearing aids. It’s very uncomfortable since VO is less distinct and less clear. Yes, just like a fake stereo chorus effect.
