Re: Format of m4b versus mp3 for downloaded lecture series

Hi Keith, m4b is definitly better for iPhone because it saves your
place by default and is catigorized as an audio book.

 Hi,

I'm downloading a lecture series and have the option of m4b versus mp3
formats. I plan to put these files in my Audiobooks folder for transfer to
 iPhone.

Is there an advantage to m4b over mp3?

 Thanks in advance. Keith

RE: Format of m4b versus mp3 for downloaded lecture series

2012-12-04 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.
Thanks, Aedan.

To what folder should these m4b files be downloaded? The structure is MyMusic,
then iTunes, then iTunesMedia, then Books.

I would probably put mp3 files in as specific a folder as possible, but if the
m4b format will be recognized within iTuens as a book, does this impact where
the files are downloaded?

Thanks. I'm still new to much of thisbut I'm making progress!

Best, Keith

I put a shortcut on the desktop to automatically added to itunes which
is in your itunes media folder and put things in there. Itunes then
whisks them away to sort them acording to their tags.
