I did finally manage to get the free Dropbox space but I would like to try using this app. I cannot get the Inbox to show up. When it first started it said I had 300 messages which is about right for the seldom used account I linked it to. Then I said to archive the unstarred messages. Then I sent 3 test messages. It says 3 new messages but I can’t get to them. Any advice? The screen has a lot of unrecognized elements, but you can get back to the screen that has the Settingselement on it by hitting the button in the top left-hand corner of the screen, which is called Lists. Hi Sherry, Might as well delete the app, it's very inaccessible. If you visit www.google.com/accounts and login with your Gmail credentials, there is a security section where you can configure which third-party apps and services are authorized to access your Google account. Mailbox will be one of them, because when you set it up you will have given it permission to access your Gmail account. Likewise if you login to Dropbox.com, you can visit your app settings to unlink Mailbox from your Dropbox account so it doesn't have permission to access or save files to your Dropbox. If you've used other apps such as AccessNote or the Dropvox recording app, they'll be listed there as well. Let me know if you need some more specific directions. Keep in mind though that the Mailbox app is owned by Dropbox, so it's not like you're giving your information to another company. Also, once you get the extra space, if you decide you don't really want to keep the Mailbox app (and indeed, it isn't that pleasant to use with VoiceOver) you can simply delete the app from your phone then login to your Dropbox and Gmail accounts and remove the permissions that you gave it. After you connect Mailbox with your Dropbox account, you can delete the Mailbox app, which is probably good since it appears to be inaccessible anyway. Hi guys, Aren't we giving away some privacy by installing this app in order to receive another 1 gig of Dropbox space? In other words, this free space is probably not so free. Where is our email address going to go? Is it possible that we will inadvertently give spammers a live email address to be used some time down the road when we have forgotten that we gave these people our email address? Please keep in mind that this is a serious question to ponder. I'm not just trying to stir stuff up, I'm actually concerned when it comes to my privacy, so I'm hoping for some thoughtful feedback as this concerns all of us who are cautious as to where our personal information is going. Hi Joseph, It's a perfectly valid question. Keep in mind though that the Mailbox app is owned by Dropbox, so it's not like you're giving your information to another company. Also, once you get the extra space, if you decide you don't really want to keep the Mailbox app (and indeed, it isn't that pleasant to use with VoiceOver) you can simply delete the app from your phone then login to your Dropbox and Gmail accounts and remove the permissions that you gave it. Keep in mind though that the Mailbox app is owned by Dropbox, so it's not like you're giving your information to another company. Once I added my account, I accidentally hit the Add account button again, (I'm not sure if that's it's actual name, or not), but then I found a Cancel button, which somehow dropped me into the inbox. Anyway, flick right from the top of the screen for a while, and you'll come to an element called Settings. It isn't a button or anything, but you can double-tap on it. After that, go to where it says Dropbox; you should be able to configure everything from there. One thing I will warn you about is that you might come to a weird screen if you left the and reopened it later. The screen has a lot of unrecognized elements, but you can get back to the screen that has the Settingselement on it by hitting the button in the top left-hand corner of the screen, which is called Lists. Hi, Perhaps I’ve missed something painfully obvious but I did everything the instructions said to do and didn’t see any increase in drop box space. I wonder what I might have missed. Actually, I haven't synced Mailbox and Dropbox yet, I just gave steps to get to the part of the app where you can link Mailbox and Dropbox.
