RE: How best to set up Amazon Echo

Start with the app, you should be fine for most items. Later, if you run in to
a snap, use http://echo.amazon.com

From what I read on another list, the app has some accessibility issues yet,
so I suspect it'll be easier by doing it online. I requested my invitation
yesterday.

I just received our Amazon Echo today. For someone with no useable vision is it
best to use the Amazon Echo app with VoiceOver or to use the Amazon Echo
website. I'll appreciate all suggestions and experience.

RE: How best to set up Amazon Echo

2015-06-01 Thread Rick Alfaro
Hi, use the web site www.echo.amazon.com but make sure to use it with FireFox
for your browser. It's not too great with IE. The IOS app works ok for getting
you set up for the first time but a nightmare for trying to make any
configuration or account settings.

Best regards,

Rick Alfaro

Re: How best to set up Amazon Echo

2015-06-01 Thread Cara Quinn
Hi Jeff,

As others have said, the iOS app will work somewhat and the site will work
somewhat. :)

What I have not seen mentioned so far here from others though, is that the iPad
app works much, much better than the iPhone version.

I.E. the iPhone version is good for setting up your Echo but not much else,
save reading your playlists.

The iPad app allows you to pretty much do everything else you need except for
changing your news preferences.

To edit these I needed to use the site.

I hope this helps. If you have any other more specific questions about the iPad
app, please feel free to shout out!

Enjoy your Echo!

Cheers!

Cara
