Addendum -was- Re: Moderator Note - Regarding accessible dating / hook-up apps
Hi again All, Replying to myself here to just add a quick addendum. Please, let’s keep this thread on topic for dating apps and such. As I said yesterday, no solicitations. Additionally, this is not an excuse to flame anyone or for name-calling. You all already know that that sort of thing is not tolerated here. This is also not an excuse to (once again) publicly question why this list is run the way it is or why we’re still on this provider. Mark and I have been super clear and absolutely transparent on this. So if you have any questions, please please please direct them to us off the list. We’re happy to answer them there and just not on the group. :) So now, if we can, let’s continue on the excellent and informative discussion. Thanks to you all and have a lovely day / evening! Cheers! RE: Moderator Note - Regarding accessible dating / hook-up apps
Thank you Cara for allowing this topic to continue. I think it could prove useful for some. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Cara Quinn Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2022 4:51 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Cc: Cara Quinn Subject: Moderator Note - Regarding accessible dating / hook-up apps Hi All, I just wanted to send a quick note regarding this current thread on accessible dating / hook-up apps. As long as the conversation does not simply go into a solicitation for dates etc on this list and stays in the form of a discussion about which apps are useable / accessible, then this conversation is absolutely fine for this group. I’m sorry if this offends some here but not only would I agree that the original poster showed quite a bit of bravery and vulnerability in asking this question here, but the fact is that dating and connecting via apps / online is a reality in the world today, and folks should feel welcome to ask about this sort of thing here. There is nothing at all wrong with meeting / dating online etc. -And, especially as blind / VI people, it’s important for us to be able to learn about as many of these resources available to us. if this sort of thing bothers some here, then please do feel free to delete these postings at will. No one will be banned for having appropriate conversation about resources that they may need. Hope this makes sense and please let me wish you all a wonderful day / evening! Cheers! Re: Moderator Note - Regarding accessible dating / hook-up apps
Hi Carrie this is Mike. I am glad you posted on here I am basically in the same position is the guy who asked the question. I am also wondering what dating apps might be accessible. I think it is quite appropriate that the question was asked. I am sort of wondering the same thing.
