RE: NFL Mobile and other apps

2014-08-11 Thread Nicki Keck
I agree, Cheryl. And you are absolutely right. It is because of the NFL.
They are cutting off these stations as they find them. As I said before, my
favorite team is the Eagles, and last time I tried all football radio, I was
not able to get any station to give me the Eagles broadcasts. Sure, I could
possibly have listened to the opposing team's broadcast, but first of all,
that is no guarantee, and second, it was worth it to me to pay the money so
I could hear the broadcasters I really wanted to hear, in a reliable manner.
I don't have time in my life to sit there trying station after station and
then having them be cut off and doing the whole thing over again.
Especially since, though it is cheaper, you do still pay for the app you
need to use to access all these feeds.

I have paid for audiopass and the way to use this on a mobile device is via
NFL mobile. I have no reason or desire to have to wade through various
stations looking for a feed. Maybe this has changed, but it was my
understanding that part of what causes feeds not to be available on other
apps is that the NFL and/or other teams try to stop feeds from being
available for use by other apps; maybe my information is out-of-date and
this is no longer the case but I do know that when there was no other way to
listen on an i-device and I used these feeds, it was sometimes frustrating
looking for a working feed and they were sometimes then cut off in
mid-broadcast. I have no desire to use these other apps at this point though
I am glad they are available for those who want to or need to use them. But
if what started as an NFL mobile thread is going to now become a discussion
of other football apps, , could people at least maybe change the subject
line to reflect this?

Thank you.
