The native mail app is not, infact secure, for my work too. Because of this
reason, i’m using all of my accounts, on outlook.

Hi,

I too prefer the native mail ap but my work has deemed it not secure enough for
our work accounts. So I'm using Outlook on my phone for my work email. I do
like Outlook on my PC better than on the phone.

One thing that happened to me was that when in the native mail ap after
creating the work account in Outlook, I kept getting password incorrect cancel
or OK. I was told to remove my work account from the native mail ap. When I
did that about half of my contacts ended up missing or just the numbers showed
up and the other half remained as they should be. The numbers only showed up
in the phone and message apps.

I'm rebuilding as I can. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason for
what disappeared or what stayed.

I would stick with the native email app if you are comfortable with it. I've
started using the Outlook app for work email on my phone and, while it's OK. I
still prefer the simplicity of the native email app and would not have
voluntarily started using Outlook, if it weren't required to access my work
account. I do love Outlook as an email client on my laptops, though.

I have never used Outlook on any device ever. I have heard from people who do

iOS. But I just don’t want to get into a big complicated mess. Does anybody

RE: Outlook mail

2022-10-25 Thread R Van Lant
I would stick with the native email app if you are comfortable with it. I've
started using the Outlook app for work email on my phone and, while it's OK. I
still prefer the simplicity of the native email app and would not have
voluntarily started using Outlook, if it weren't required to access my work
account. I do love Outlook as an email client on my laptops, though.

Subject: Outlook mail

I have never used Outlook on any device ever. I have heard from people who do
use it say it’s very complicated, and all I want is a Mail app. So I use
Thunderbird on my computer and iOS mail on my iPhone or iPad. But now I’m
wondering about Outlook mail. I’ve heard people say it works well. Android and
iOS. But I just don’t want to get into a big complicated mess. Does anybody
know of anything anywhere that really sort of describes how you use outlook on
these platforms?

RE: Outlook mail

2022-10-24 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I don't think it's any more complicated than Thunderbird or the IOS Mail app.
It does work a bit differently though, so it might appear complicated to
someone who's new to it. In IOS for example, you get an in box with some
preview lines. VoiceOver will tell you how many messages are in the thread. If
you double tap a message or a thread then it'll open up. In a thread you can
flick up or down to move from message to message. At the top of each message,
you can perform some actions on the individual message, like delete or move it.
At the very top, you can take actions on the entire thread, like delete all
messages in the thread or move all messages to a folder. You also have some
buttons on the bottom to reply or forward a message.

IMHO, if you're happy with Thunderbird and the IOS Mail app, I don't see any
reason to change, unless you just want to play around to find an app that you
might like a bit better.
