Yes, no up front, and the $69 is phone bill and phone.

Subject: RE: Question about battery life.

Hi Carolyn,

Are you saying you are paying $69 a month for 30 month and you had to pay $650
for your iPhone 11 or did you mean you are simply paying $69 a month with no
upfront payment and that $69 a month is you rplan + your payment for the iPhone?
A 64Gb iPhone 11 unlocked costs $699 in the US.
If you are paying $69 a month over 30 months that is $2,070 over the period of
your contract.
If you buy the iPhone upfront and pay $699 and then find a plan from an MVNO
like consumer Cellular for $40 a month you would pay a total of $1,899 for that
same period and if you can find an even less expensive plan you of course save
more.
It's almost always a better deal, if you can afford it, to buy your iPhone
outright and then find a plan which suits your needs, keep the phone for at
least 3 and better 4 years, then sell it for whatever you can get and do the
same thing again.

Regards,
Sieghard

I got it at Wal-Mart/AT&T. It is a 30-month contract. I can pay the phone off
early, but I'm not sure, probably would have to stay with contract. My payment
is $69.03 a month, then, of course, there will be taxes and fees, so I'm
thinking like $80. Still, to get an 11, I think I did as well as I could. They
didn't have any XR's.But Consumer Cellular sold them for $600.

The iPhone 11 has better battery life and generally speaking a newer model

Of course once a phone gets to be 2 or 3 years old the battery capacity is not
what it was when the phone was new.
