Re: Question about the Nook ap

2017-01-31 Thread Mike Arrigo
I think it's a bug in the app, I have the same issue, double tapping on
the button that goes to the contents or library does not work. At this
point, you can try turning voice over off and tapping in that area but
that's the only way I can think of to work around this at the moment,
other than uninstalling and reinstalling the app which is annoying to
say the least.

Original message:

Is anyone using the Nook ap who hopefully can answer a question? I just
finished a book and want to get back to my list of books and delete
that particular book. The ap seems to be stuck in Book Page even though
it says I’m at the end of the book and I can’t seem to get it to go
anywhere else. I’ve tried all the gestures I can think of. Suggestions?

That does not unlock the phone; it allows the phone to change from portrait to

To get into landscape Mode, turn the phone or i-device so that the Home button

You could check the text settings and choose extra small font, small margins
etc. But the choppiness is due to the width of the screen.

You might try reading with the phone in landscape position which should get
more text on each line.

Is anyone using the Nook ap? When I try to read with it it reads like the
lines are short and it reads pretty choppy. Is that just how it reads or is
there a setting I need to change?

Re: Question about the Nook ap

2014-11-16 Thread Craig Werner
Hello, Denise and Richard.

Denise, Richard's smaller font and narrower margin tweaks may indeed
produce smoother reading from the Nook app. I have also noticed this
choppy delivery, and I left a message on this forum a few days ago
saying that the pauses occur right at the point of a "new line"
character. If you use your rotor to read by characters, you may well
notice that the point at which pauses occur coincides with the "new
line" character. Five days ago, I wrote to Nook support and asked if
they could confirm this behavior and if they had a fix for it. I have
not received a reply as yet. If anyone can confirm the "new line"
character as the culprit, I would appreciate it.
