RE: Removing the 'On this iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch' feature | Sonos
I am not sure I follow the logic, you need WiFi for Sonos to work anyways, no WiFi no Sonos. Therefore, what does it matter if Airplay uses WiFi. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Kelly Pierce Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2019 7:47 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Removing the 'On this iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch' feature | Sonos the problem with Airplay is that the user needs a WiFi connection. sonos does not have a Bluetooth option after this change. this means it is not much different from a Home Pod. And you don't have a PC? You could easily play all your music on Sonos by adding it to your Music folder on a computer (PC or Mac) and then use the Sonos app to give Sonos access to this folder. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Traci Duncan Sent: Wednesday, June 19, 2019 10:09 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Removing the 'On this iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch' feature | Sonos LOL, yes I still have music on both my iPhone and I touch. Well, I guess it all depends on your sources and how you listen. As the article mentions, there are plenty of options to play music that is locally stored on your iPhone whereas I would consider Airplay the most obvious and easies. I think most people by now have either a Sonos One or a Play 5 and of course as time goes by I assume all new Sonos products will be Airplay 2 compatible.
