I am having a similar problem. Whenever I tell Siri to text or call someone in my contacts, he says he cannot find that person in my contacts. I certainly can't confirm this problem. Go into settings, general, Siri, and make sure your language settings are set to your particular country. Sometimes, the settings can change to another country. This causes speech recognition to go bad because the accents are much different. The last upgrade changed my Siri language from English United States to English Australia. Changing it to English US fixed the problem.
