Re: Still unclear Getting directly to top and bottom of windows

That response means VO is registering 3 fingers. The majority of your fingers
need to be on the half of the display you want to move to.

HI guys: Yes I know I asked the other day about how to get directly to top
or bottom of a Windows on my Iphone, but I still am unclear on how much
distance from the top or bottom of the screen I have to tap the four
fingers, and how to put them together or spread out? I ask these because
when I touch the top or bottom of the screen I get the Center of Screen,
Bottom Part of Screen Top part of screen etc.

Thanks in advanced for any info.

RE: Still unclear Getting directly to top and bottom of windows

2012-09-01 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Gerardo,

If Voiceover announces top of screen or Page 1 of 3, centre of screen
you are only doing a 3-finger single tab or at least Voiceover is
registering it as such because the correct response to a 3-finger tap is for
Voiceover announce the position of the tap. If you do this on one of your
home screens it will also tell you which screen you are on and how many
there are, e.g. if you have 3 pages of apps and you do a 3-finger tap on
page 1 at the top of the screen, then Voiceover would say Page 1 of 3, top
of screen.

I suggest you go to Settings, General, Accessibility, Voiceover and
double tap on the practice gestures button, on the resulting screen you can
practice any gesture you want and Voiceover will tell you which gesture you
did. I guess the trick with 3-finger and 4-finger gestures is to make sure
all 3 or 4 fingers touch the screen at the same time.

Good luck,
Sieghard
