Two years ago, the model st55 was on sale for $50.00. Its $110.00 now and Amazon probably beats every one else by at least 20 bucks. If you buy, be sure to get the model st55 because it has buttons that a blind person can use in case the internet is down. The more expensive model is a flat touch screen that no blind person can ever use. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that the price of the model had increased by $25 since January of this year. Just to confirm, I had a friend put the same model in her Amazon cart, on 2 different devices and the price was the same, $25 more than I originally paid. My point, if you like a product from Amazon and you think you may want to purchase a second unit, do so sooner, rather than later, because the second time around can be more expensive on Amazon. Haven't you heard?, there is this thing called inflation. Salaries and the cost of parts have increased this year. Food, restaurants, streaming services, movies, etc., all go up in price. However, I do agree with you, as my wife will tell you, when she finds a pair of shoes or pants, whatever, she really likes, I always say "buy two."
