Re: Thoughts on Brailliant?
Hello, The basic navigation commands between the Braillenote Apex and the Brailliant are the same. Your wife should not have any issues transferring her knowledge to the new display. Humanware has done a great job with making it comfortable for long time braille users to simply pick it up and use it. Ed > On Aug 18, 2022, at 12:15 PM, Paula Jordan wrote: > > Hi Brandon. RE: Thoughts on Brailliant?
Hi Brandon. I have had a BI20X for over a year. I like it very much. I use it for church since they email me the order of worship. I copy it onto the unit and use it during the service. I'm very satisfied with it, and they continue to work out some of the bugs with updates. If I remember the BrailleNote commands correctly, there's a lot of similarity. HTH. If you or your wife have any questions I can help with, feel free to email me off list at pau...@roadrunner.com. God bless! My wife is looking for a good braille display and we're looking at the Brailliant. She is used to the old Braille Note (the Apex) so is wondering how similar the commands are to that. She wants to be able to use it standalone to cantor at church in particular. I know you can load documents on it, right? Any information or tips would be appreciated. Thanks! Yeah she's looking at the 20 cell model. Good to have an experience from someone who is actively using it though. Re: Thoughts on Brailliant?
I'm still quite new to my brailliant BI X 40 but know it also comes in a 20 cell model which is probably what she's looking for. I really like mine I just got mine not too long ago I have the 47 model. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable can tell you about the commands as well but I would also ask HumanWare questions as they more likely will be able to help you. Good luck. there are also tutorials on how to use the series. it’s working well with my iPhone that’s for sure I’m really liking it very nice.
