Re: Updating IOS on WIFI instead of iTunes

2020-10-15 Thread Mike B
It'll take awhile to download and you should be able to swipe left and right
to get an idea of what's happening. I wish I could be more specific, but
when I tried to update my old SE we were having Wifi / internet problems and
so I had to update using iTunes.

I do have it on the charger- hearing nothing so far- but no idea how long it
will take on WIFI. So, is it true that WIFI usually takes longer than
iTunes? Thanks for your ready help.

Hi Cher,

The phone will be on when you update your iOS using Wifi, it just might be a
little slower doing with Wifi verses iTunes. I forget all what you will
read or hear , but if you do use Wifi you'll be able to keep track of what's
happening. I'm sure you'll do this anyways, but I would plug your into the
charging cable for the updating process.

Have always used iTunes- how do you find out the progress if using WIFI?
