Re: focus 14 and i-device questions

2013-01-02 Thread Kimberly
In order to delete a message using only the display, here's what you do.
With the focus on the message to be deleted, touch the left rocker switch on
top of the display. Push it one way for delete and the opposite way for
default. Once you have selected delete, press one of the cursor routing keys
for the double-tap. You may have to press the key twice. Sometimes once does
the trick, but I can't determine any pattern to it.

You can also mark several messages for deleting by first selecting the edit
button, then using the right rocker switch you can move down the list
dwhtble-tapping each message you want to delete. What I like about this method
is the display will scroll through the entire list of messages if that's what
you want before you access the delete button.

I hope this helps.

 Hello all,
I am directing these questions to focus 14 users with i-devices. I have
reviewed the fs commands but i have some additional questions.
 1. Is there a way to simulate the rroter gesture on the iphone? for example,
when reviewing e-mails how can one adjust the roter to delete a message
without touching the device and just using the display?
 2. If you are reading in read2go or ibooks or the nook, is there a command
 for continus reading in Braille?
 3. Does the focus 14 have a command to automatically move you to the top of
the page (where the text starts) when in read2go, ibooks or the nook app?
If anyone has any input on these questions, i would appreciate any assistance.
 thanks.

RE: focus 14 and i-device questions

2013-01-01 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,
Space with dots 2,3 or 5,6 will turn the rotor counter-clockwise and
clockwise respectively.

I do not believe there is a continuous reading option in braille, exactly.
Someone said they slowed the reading speed down so it matched their braille
reading speed.

There is not a command to get to the top of the text, only the top of the
screen.

HTH,
Richard
