RE: how to reset iPhone 7

2016-11-25 Thread Mr. Ed
Hi Pablo,

Yes, when you power your iPhone 7 off with the power button and the volume down
button you will have to hold the power button down again for four or five
seconds for it to restart. It has always been this way on all iPhones after you
power them off you have to turned them back on.

Hi Pablo,

Because the home button is no longer a mechanical button, the way to force a
restart or put your phone in DFU mode (if necessary) has changed a bit with
the iPhone 7. Instead of Power and Home button you press Power and Volume Down
button. Make sure you press the power button first, a bit ahead of pressing the
volume down button since otherwise you may accidently turn your volume down to
0 annd then when the phone restarts you may not hear Voiceover. Here is an
excerpt of an article from iMore.com and the link to it below:

How to reboot your iPhone 7

If your iPhone 7 stops responding and you can't even turn it off by holding
down the power button, you may need to force a reboot as follows:

1. Press and hold down the On/Off button on the right side

2. While continuing to hold the On/Off button, press and hold the volume down
button on the left side of your iPhone.

3. Hold both buttons as the screen turns off, and keep holding them until the
screen turns back on and displays the Apple logo.

You would hold it the usual length, about 6 or 8 seconds is enough. Hhere the

Hi Pablo,

On the iPhone 7, instead of pressing the home button with the power button to
do the reset you will not press the volume down button along with the power
button to achieve the reset.
