Apple Releases iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3; Bringing Accessibility Fixes, Support
for Apple Fitness+ and AirPods Max, and More

Submitted by AppleVis on Monday, December 14, 2020 - 17:53.

Apple has today released iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3; bringing support for Apple
Fitness+ and AirPods Max, new features, security enhancements, and bug fixes.

Bug Fixes

Our testing suggests that the following pre-existing accessibility bugs have
been resolved in iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3:

*
 When
creating a new list in the Reminders app, the text field for the list title is
once again accessible with VoiceOver.
*
 When
editing an existing list in the Reminders app, the text field for the list
title is once again accessible with VoiceOver.
*

After assigning a braille display command to VoiceOver Recognition, pressing
the command will now toggle the status of this feature.
*

When using the VoiceOver rotor to drag a widget on the Today View, focus
should no longer spontaneously move to the Home screen.
*

With VoiceOver enabled, swiping from left to right with three fingers in a
Home Screen folder no longer takes you to the Today view.
*

When navigating the App Library using the Containers option in the VoiceOver
rotor, the page now scrolls correctly.
*

When using the Measure app on an iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max to automatically
measure a person's height, the results are now accessible with VoiceOver.
*

When running a Shortcut that prompts you to select from a menu list of
options, you should now be able to dismiss the Shortcut with the VoiceOver
scrub gesture.

At the time of posting, we are unaware of any new bugs or regressions for blind
and low vision users in these releases.

As we always stress, we can make no claims on the completeness or accuracy of
our testing. We are only a small team, and it is simply impossible for us to
test all devices, configurations, applications, and use cases. Accordingly, to
help us ensure that the information on this page is as complete and accurate as
possible, please let us know in the comments of any fixes; enhancements; or
regressions that you find in your own use of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3.
