Re: iPad 8th generation and VoiceOver
Hello everybody, I owe everyone on this list a huge apology. My question showed just how dumb I was. The iPad I bought was indeed an iPad 8th generation and not the iPad Air. However, if I had paid closer attention, I would have seen the Home button where I had always expected it to be. I don't know how I overlooked it, but I did. And, with a few questions answered, I was able to get my iPad set up. Now, I can use my phone for some things and not completely wear it out as my universal device. I will pay closer attention before I ask my questions, because all of you are very helpful, and you should not have to put up with a careless mistake like mine. Thank you for being willing. Yes that's what I thought, But the air 4 doesn't have an actual home button that we know. It has a power button with touch id built in. Apparently this was not a new iPad and so someone had disabled the accessibility shortcut or when he pressed the power button/ side switch/top switch, whatever it is on that unit, three times nothing happens. Hence the iTunes solution which can be done independent of any sighted assistance. When you say you "acquired" it, do you mean you bought it brand new or is it used? Hi tom, Is this iPad the ipad air 4?
