Re: iPhone 6S see my Wifi and connects to it; but not to Apple or iCloud, etc.

2018-01-06 Thread Flor Lynch

Hi Mark,

Yes, my first name is Flor.

The problem has been solved today. It was apparently being caused by a VPN
software app that I have, called HMA Pro, repeatedly trying to connect. For
now though, I have forgotten the password to access HMA Pro (which would
allow me set it up on my 6S if I chose). However, Once HMA was disabled, the
6S could connect to any WiFi, and mine, which is also in use by the
household. I knew that the 6S itself was seeing my WiFi and connecting to
it. I can still use HMA Pro on my 5S.

Is your first name Flor?

Based on the scenario you have described, I suggest that you completely
power down your WiFi router for at least 2 minutes. Then, power it back up
and see if that fixes your problem.

It's always a good idea to reboot a router every 2 weeks or so.

Let us know what happens and good luck.

Mark

We successfully backed up my data from my 5S to the 6S. When I give my
newly-acquired 6S my iTunes & iCloud password, after a little time, it
returns with: “verification failed. There was an error when trying to
connect to the Apple ID server.” (Niehter my PC nor my iPhone 5S have this
problem. They connect to iTunes, etc.)

Yet, my 6S sees the WiFi and accepts my WiFi password. Resetting Network
Settings on it DID NOT fix the issue. The same tscenarios happened again, as
outlined above. 6S sees mny WiFi but won’t do anything in it. iPhone 5S and
iPhone 6S are both using latest iOS11.2.1.

Anyone have good ideas?
