I do use a Bluetooth keyboard from time to time. When I use the Bluetooth
keyboard keyboard on the screen goes away. Also dictate some of the emails that
I do.

I am experiencing this exact same issue. After I dictate some text, I've been
double tapping again with one finger. Maybe if I double tap with two fingers
that will work.

2017-11-11 Thread Vicky Collins
Before updating to iOS 11.1, once I finished my dictation, I was
able to double tap with one finger and have my dictation
processed and ready to be dealt with. But, now when I double tap
with just the one finger to stop dictation, I always get the
behavior described below. However, if I double tap with two
fingers after finishing dictation, which I believe has been the
correct way all along, things work as expected and the dictation
is processed and the keyboard is available.

Re: iPhone SE keyboard keeps on disappearing since iOS 11

2017-11-11 Thread Richard Turner

I have not experienced this on either the 5s or 6s.
Have you contacted Apple Accessibility?

Subject: iPhone SE keyboard keeps on disappearing since iOS 11

Hello list,
Was wondering if others have been dealing with this issue and knew of a fix.
Ever since updating to iOS 11 on my iPhone SE, the keyboard keeps disappearing
on me. If I’m in the edit field editing or adding text and go back to punch in
something, instead of the keyboard, I’ll get a button that says keyboard and
two dictate buttons on each side of the keyboard button. Double tapping that
keyboard button brings back the keyboard, but man is this getting annoying. It
happens in every app and all the time. Since it’s only occurred after upgrading
to iOS 11.1 (I skipped iOS 11.0 entirely), I thought maybe it was part of the
new OS somehow?
Does anyone have a fix for this or do they know what setting I need to go into
to disable this feature?
Thanks,
Cristobal
