Hi all,
I have a strange problem with the voice over volume while talking on the phone.
When using the phone if I need to dial in numbers I can barely hear voiceover
at all. Yes, I have made sure that the voiceover volume on the rotor is at 100
percent and it is still low. the voices on the phone are much louder than
Voiceover. This doesn't happen anywhere else but on the phone. Otherwise, the
volumes are all fine. Anything else I should be looking at? Thanks much for
any ideas.

RE: volume while using the phone

2023-12-01 Thread Cristóbal Muñoz
For the most part, I find audio ducking too distracting. Be it on the iPhone or
even Jaws on the PC.
On my iPhone though, I have audio bucking and a few other VO settings listed in
quick settings (two finger quadruple tap). It comes in handy for those times
you click on a webpage or video clip and get blasted with all that noise.

Kay,

Based on your comment, it sounds as if you're confused about how audio ducking
works on the iPhone. With it on, the audio from the phone, music app, etc.
Ducks or lowers when VoiceOver is speaking so that the VoiceOver is more easily
heard.

RE: volume while using the phone

2023-12-01 Thread Richard Turner
Do you have volume in the VoiceOver rotor?

If so, have you checked that it is at 100%?

Is this when you are needing to enter a number like when calling a business
with various options?

If so, is the phone at least a foot or foot and a half away from your head so
the proximity detector doesn’t impact the volume?
