Julie, the Apple TV is a box which connects to your tv. It
can and should be
used as part of a home network, but can be connected
directly to a computer
or modem. If all you want is to make use of Netflix than a
cable account is
not necessary. I expect this is also true when making use
of
MLB-TV and even
perhapse NFL.com's NFL package. If you do, though have
Cable
TV this allows
you to pick up other things like ESPN, PBS, etc. I suggest
you go to
http://www.apple.com and search for Apple TV to find out
other information
about this device. I was so impressed with the one I
received from Santa
that I bought another one for use in my bedroom.

As far as the keyboard you asked about is concerned, it
can
be used with up
to three Apple devices. It is the size of a standard
computer keyboard. The
keyboard can, I understand be had via Amazon.com for about
$85.00 but
retails for $99 when purchasing via Apple.

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth
keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but
those
are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do
correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is
very
good, the
Logitech
Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like
the
Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I
don't
like the fact
that
the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the
back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it
in
a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is
also
very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is
great, it also
has a
built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless
keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the
Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same
time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is
press F1, F2 or
F3.
I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my
Apple TV, and I
will
pair it with both so that I can easily use the same
keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the
same thing except
it's
made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with
the
iPhone as well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and
Option so the VO
key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted
it
exclusively for
my
iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it
from Amazon) for
a
refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using
the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79,
the K811 from
the
Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted
$131. On Amazon.com
the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K76

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth
keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but
those
are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do
correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is
very
good, the
Logitech
Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like
the
Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I
don't
like the fact
that
the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the
back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it
in
a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is
also
very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is
great, it also
has a
built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless
keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the
Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same
time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is
press F1, F2 or
F3.
I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my
Apple TV, and I
will
pair it with both so that I can easily use the same
keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the
same thing except
it's
made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with
the
iPhone as well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and
Option so the VO
key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted
it
exclusively for
my
iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it
from Amazon) for
a
refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using
the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79,
the K811 from
the
Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted
$131. On Amazon.com
the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K760 or close to
that, it can only
switch between 2 devices, but it's solar powered which,
had that been
available for a model which can handle 3 devices, I
would
have preferred.
But in the end keyboards last a long time anyways and
the
K810 and K811
are
rechargeable so it's not a big deal to plug it in over
night every few
months.

Oh, the K810 and K811 are pretty much the same size as
an
Apple Wireless
keyboard, about 12 inches long

Oh, the K810 and K811 are pretty much the same size as an Apple Wireless

not

Re: Awesome iPhone Keyboard

2014-01-25 Thread Fred Olver
Julie, the Apple TV is a box which connects to your tv. It can and should be
used as part of a home network, but can be connected directly to a computer
or modem. If all you want is to make use of Netflix than a cable account is
not necessary. I expect this is also true when making use of MLB-TV and even
perhapse NFL.com's NFL package. If you do, though have Cable TV this allows
you to pick up other things like ESPN, PBS, etc. I suggest you go to
http://www.apple.com and search for Apple TV to find out other information
about this device. I was so impressed with the one I received from Santa
that I bought another one for use in my bedroom.

As far as the keyboard you asked about is concerned, it can be used with up
to three Apple devices. It is the size of a standard computer keyboard. The
keyboard can, I understand be had via Amazon.com for about $85.00 but
retails for $99 when purchasing via Apple.

How do you define "small"? You can get mini Bluetooth keyboards which are
pretty much exactly the same size as an iPhone, but those are not really
designed to be used as a regular keyboard where you do correct 10-finger
typing.
If you want this then the Apple Wireless keyboard is very good, the
Logitech

Easyswitch K811 is excellent and a lot of people like the Amazon Basics
Keyboard as a more budget option.
I like how the Apple Wireless keyboard feels, but I don't like the fact
that

the on/off switch is a button on the right side at the back, even if you
turn it off chances are it will turn on if you have it in a pack.
I just ordered the Logitech EasySwitch K811 which is also very well-made.
It
has a physical slider switch on the right side which is great, it also
has a

built-in rechargeable battery whereas the Apple Wireless keyboard uses 2
Double A batteries and the main reason why I bought the Logitech K811 is
because you can pair it with up to 3 devices at the same time and all you
have to do to switch from 1 to the next or the third is press F1, F2 or
F3.
I currently have only 2 iOS devices, my iPhone and my Apple TV, and I
will

pair it with both so that I can easily use the same keyboard. The name
"EasySwitch" truly applies.
I had in fact, ordered the K810 keyboard which is the same thing except
it's

made for PC's and mobile devices. It did work OK with the iPhone as well,
but it has Windows Key and Alt instead of Command and Option so the VO
key
is a different key combination. Anyhow, since I wanted it exclusively for
my
iPhone and Apple TV I decided to return it (I bought it from Amazon) for
a

refund and I ordered the K811 from the Apple Store using the Apple Store
app. It will arrive on Monday.
The price for the K810 on Amazon here in Canada was $79, the K811 from
the

Apple Store was $99, but on Amazon Canada they wanted $131. On Amazon.com
the K811 is only $72 or $77 or something around there.

Lastly, Logitech also makes a model K760 or close to that, it can only
switch between 2 devices, but it's solar powered which, had that been
available for a model which can handle 3 devices, I would have preferred.
But in the end keyboards last a long time anyways and the K810 and K811
are

rechargeable so it's not a big deal to plug it in over night every few
months.

You don't need cable service to use Apple TV. Apple TV is a box which
let's you watch contenct from iTunes and other sources, like Netflix and
Hulu, on a connected TV. You can read more about it at

fold, but while you couldn't stick them in a coat pocket, they are very easy
to carry along if you have a shoulder bag, messenger bag or backpack.

Good luck,
Sieghard

Listers,

What's a small, Voice-Over compatible keyboard that works well with iPhone
that I can flip out and use at a moments notice, put it back quickly and is
sleek? I know that's allot but I know if anyone knows the answer you guys
do.

I have an IHome keyboard and it seems to work really well. It's light,
charges via USB and is really thin. It's about the size of a 32-cell Braille
display. Wider, of course.
