Re: Creating folders and moving apps on iPhone 5C
No nothing has changed when moving apps on to another app to create a folder you just have to keep moving the app until it wants to go in to the folder -Original Message- From: Andrew Lamanche Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2013 6:45 AM To: VIPhone Subject: Creating folders and moving apps on iPhone 5C Dear Listers, I seem to be having so many questions. I used to be able to create folders on iPad by just moving one application over another and a folder would be created automatically. I don't seem to be able to achieve this on iPhone 5C. Has this been changed in i/OS 7.03? also, when I try to move an application to a different location, I double-tap and hold and move my finger. I must be doing something wrong because oftentimes I will hear Voiceover say something about edge of region and I suddenly find that I have 5 pages of home screen rather than 3 as it was initially. Is there a method for doing this? Also, when moving applications, I can't seem to get out of the edit screen. Scrubbing with two fingers is no good. How do you do this? What else can one do when in the edit mode, which I understand is activated by double-tapping the screen with one finger and holding after second tap? Thanks for your patience. Re: Creating folders and moving apps on iPhone 5C
Hi Andrew, You can still create folders in the way you did on earlier phones and with the last OS. You just have to keep your finger on the app you’re moving held there for a little bit once it’s on top of the other app you want in your folder. To exit the edit mode, just hit your home button. I’ve found that when moving apps, it works better if I move my finger slowly. Also, sometimes, for some unknown reason, you have to try moving the app more then once. hth, Caitlyn, also with a 5 C On Nov 12, 2013, at 7:45 AM, Andrew Lamanche andrew.laman...@gmail.com wrote: Dear Listers, I seem to be having so many questions. Re: Creating folders and moving apps on iPhone 5C
I did a lot of rearranging of apps last night on my iPhone 4S running IOS 7, and I thought it actually went better than it did in IOS 6. It was the first time in a while, and the first time since I upgraded to IOS 7, that I did a lot of moving of apps and folders, so maybe I'm just a better touch screen user than I used to be. I found I could move my finger around a lot faster than I did in IOS 6 and the whole process just went a lot faster and was a lot less tedious.
