Subject: dice world question

Hi everyone. I'm asking this question for a friend and I've heard this
happen. She is using a 4S and am not sure which apple software she is
using on her phone. For me, I'm getting gold when I get a yatzy, get
24, go over 3000 in farkle, and so forth. When this happens to her, she
doesn't get any gold when she gets a yatzy, gets a 24, and all of the
other functions that would make you get gold in dice world. She is
wondering why I would get gold for these things but she isn't. I'm
using a 5s and will probably go with the SE soon. So my question is has
anyone else who is playing dice world who has an older phone experienced
this? She even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Wow you are very smart! Actually, it's rather tricky and I would never have
figured it out. You actually have to flick through the screen with a finger
to find the button. At least the button is not apparently visible on the
iPhone 5 here using just touch method. May be visible on the iPad or mini
but haven't looked there yet. It is between the dicin'
since and the country when you flick through the screen. It says block
button and there it is! Thank you very much. Mystery solved and here's
hoping I will never need to use it.

OK, thanks. I thought that was the reason for it but how do you do it?
I can't find anything in the help file that tells me how, and I don't

I am missing something very simple, but many thanks.

block that user. So if you do not care to play a particular game,

decide you no longer wants to receive game invitations from that person,

Re: Dice World Question

2014-06-10 Thread MamaPeach
You are correct, there is not a way to sort the games yet. I believe the
developer has mentioned this could be something he adds in an upcoming
update.
Nick is great and deserves high marks for going to extreme lengths to make
Dice World so accessible. He, as a sighted developer, took it upon himself
to learn how to use VoiceOver, so he could see what he could do to improve
the game for blind people. That is something you rarely find in an app
developer. He just finished getting the app ready to be released for Android
users, and has said that he plans to focus once again on doing more for the
iPhone app, so stay tuned, there's no telling what he has in store for us in
new releases.

Hi again. I do have another question. I believe as it stands now, there
is no way to do this. How can I get my oldest games to come up first? I
have many games, so addicted that I'm ashamed to admit how many, and I
sometimes only have a few minutes. Would you ask the developer to make
it possible to have the games sort by oldest at top of list? By the way,
I paid for the game and find it a good policy to do so when a developer
does such great things to make it accessible. If I can, I will pay for
good software. I know many can't, and I'm not criticizing any one or
bragging because I know that eeryone does what they can, especially in
these days when cash is very sparse at times! But I would urge that
anyone who can do so try to contribute to those who really sttrive to
make software accessible.

Just for future reference, in order to block a player, you need to have a
game started with that person. Make sure you are in that particular game,
then double tap where it says Player's 2 stats, which is in the right hand
corner, right under the chat button. Flick several times until you hear a
button that says Block user. I haven't done this, but I am almost sure, you
will get some kind of confirmation pop up where you must approve the block
or cancel the block. HTH

RE: Dice World Question

2014-06-08 Thread DJ
I haven't done it myself and I hope you don't block me when you figure it
out. You are a good opponent. Lol

OK, thanks. I thought that was the reason for it but how do you do it? I
can't find anything in the help file that tells me how, and I don't see a
check box or anything to enable for a specific player. I am sure I am
missing something very simple, but many thanks.

If you have someone who constantly starts games with you and then just

block that person, or if a person continually starts a game with you
after you have continually rejected them, you can again block that
user. So if you do not care to play a particular game, such as Pig,
and a player just keeps trying to invite you, you can decide you no
longer wants to receive game invitations from that person, so you
 block them.

Hi everybody. I've been enjoying dice world imensely. I have no desire
to do so, but how does one block a player? I've seen it in settings
and don't understand what it does or how it works. Just curious ...
 because it is there!.
