you do it just the way you described in your subject. Just paste it into the iTunes windows. - Original Message - From: Wren Langley wrenlang...@sbcglobal.net To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Saturday, May 02, 2015 8:53 AM Subject: Is there a way that I can copy a folder of music to my clipboard and then paste it into iTunes and if so how do I do it please and thank you Hi all and thank you for the help. I have a main folder of music and there are folders with in the folder. Can I copy the main folder to the clipboard and paste it into iTunes, and will it all be in the same order? If this can be done I need step-by-step instructions please. A lot of the albums have songs on them the other albums have, but I want to keep everything on each album as it is. If I copy and paste the folder into iTunes will iTunes leave all of the things as they are? I know that sometimes iTunes has told me that there are duplicate songs. I have never used iTunes that much, so I know very little about it. Thank you all again very much for the much appreciated help. Anna: I think you helped me with this problem before. I play my music from Itunes off my hard drive. I don't have any play lists, just shuffle. Lately when I've added new songs to my hard drive, they are not showing up while playing iTunes. I need to add the file or folder through the iTunes file pulld down menu. Isn't there a setting that will tell iTunes to add any changes to the existing library? Thanks for any help. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Woody Anna Dresner Sent: Saturday, May 02, 2015 8:39 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Is there a way that I can copy a folder of music to my clipboard and then paste it into iTunes and if so how do I do it please and thank you Hello, In iTunes Preferences, on the Advanced tab, is a check box called Keep iTunes folder organized. Hi, You can add the iTunes folder again, and it will update the library to add any new content you've put in since the last time. Wren, What Jen suggests will get your music into the iTunes library, and you need to perform this step, but it won't preserve the folder structure that you want to keep.
