Hello, This message is being typed with an Alva BC640 with feature pack. The latest firmware upgrade for the BC640 makes it compatible with the iOS 5.0 or higher. It is necessary to turn the Alva on before you wake up the iOS device. Also, I find that the bluetooth connection can be a little bit more finicky than with the Refreshabraille. One thing my Refreshabraille does that my Alva does not do (nor did a focus 40 blue I tested), is that when paired, my Refreshabraille will connect to my iPhone even when my iPhone is already active when I activate my Refreshabraille. Unfortunately, my Refreshabraille is having some complication with the routing and panning buttons, so I will soon be sending it in for repairs. I hope to soon test my iPhone with a EuroBraille.
