Re: removing an app

2018-08-29 Thread John Panarese
Provided you are running iOS 11:

1. Swipe down with one finger when you are on the app you want to delete and
double tap with one finger when you hear, Editmode.
2. Swipe down with one finger again and when you hear, delete, double tap with
one finger.
3. Confirm you want to delete the app in question.
4. Press the home button to get out of edit mode.

If someone has written a direct message beyond a certain point, it cuts off. I
can only read the whole thing if I switch the rotor to word and flick through.
Has anyone else noticed this?

RE: removing an App from Apple tv

2016-11-05 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Push and hold for a moment on the track pad, this is equivalent to a double tap
and hold on the iphone.
I believe Voiceover announces something about pressing the Play/Pause button
for options, that is the bottom button of the 3 buttons on the left side.
Once you press Play/Pause you are asked if you want to delete the app, press
the track pad again and it will be deleted.
I'm not in front of my Apple TV right now, but that is more or less how it
works.

Sieghard

Subject: removing an App from Apple tv

Hello everyone,

I have tried to figure this out on my own. But couldn't for some reason.

The other day I put the NBC App on my Apple tv. But then I realized that I
needed to have a cable subscription to work. I should have known this.

Anyway, there is no point in me having this App there.

So how can I remove it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri

Re: Removing an app

2016-04-15 Thread Kwork
And, when you're done editing, press the home button to get out of edit mode.
If you forget to do this, you could get into a delete confirmation screen next
time you try to open an app by double tapping on it.

Re: removing an app completely?

2012-11-18 Thread Kliphton
I will let you know, but it won't be until at least tomorrow evening. I'm out
of town, and need to set up my new Mac mini when I return home this afternoon,
thanks for the suggestion

I suspect that if you connect your iPhone to your PC and go into iTunes, this
might allow you to completely delete the desired app. This may be a 2 Step
process in that:

1) You'll want to select your device in the Source List. Then tab to the
App button and make sure that's selected. Then when you tab to the list of
apps, I would think you would want to select the app in question and hit the
Delete key. If the app is on home page 2 or 3, you'll need to tab past the
list of apps (on home page 1) to the list where there's only numbers and select
the correct home page number, tab back and find the app you want to delete.

2) I suppose you'll need to find the Purchased apps list (in iTunes) and
delete it from the iTunes structure as well.

If this works, please let me know. I also have an app I believe I want to get
rid of and I'll wait.

Okay, I installed the plus version of the emoj keyboard, thought I would like
it, but I don't. I deleted it off my phone, but the keyboard won't go away.
In IOS6, they gave us a emoj keyboard to add in settings, general, keyboards,
and that default keyboard that you can add, has what I need. So when I go to
delete this keyboard, I add the old one that was put there by default, but the
one I bought is still there, with all it's options. How do I get it to be gone
for good? Even though I have deleted the one I purchased, it won't go away.
