Re: Rotor command on the QWERTY keyboard
Connie, I was talking about the Amazon Basics Bluetooth keyboard. If you wait for it to go on special, Amazon discounts it down to 19 dollars and change with free shipping in the US. I don't bother with learning commands for it because all I need it for is entering text in a text box or typing in the body of an email message. The keyboard uses 2 triple A. batteries. I've my keyboard just about a year now and the batteries are doing fine. You even get the batteries with the keyboard. It measures about 10 inches long and 5 inches from front to back and there is a power switch to turn it on. Pairing is easy. The first time you use it you need to pair it with your device. There is a podcast out about it that will walk you through setting it up. Our friendly neighborhood moderator Raul did a great job of it. I'm sure if you ask him, he could tell you how to lay hands on it. Regards, Alan Please click on: HTTP://WWW.home.earthlink.net/~alanandsuzanne/ There, you'll find free files of my arrangements and performances played on the Yamaha Tyros 1 keyboard. The albums in Technics format formerly on my website are still available upon request. RE: Rotor command on the QWERTY keyboard
This discussion is about using a regular external Bluetooth keyboard. The term Qwerty keyboard refers to the standard US keyboard which has the letters QWERTY as the first 6 letters in the top row of the keyboard. 2 of the best keyboards in my opinion are the Logitech K811 and the Apple Wireless keyboard. I owned an Apple Wireless keyboard first, but bought a Logitech K811 recently and prefer it because it has a slider switch to turn the keyboard on and off whereas the Apple Wireless keyboard has a button on one end which gets easily pushed if you carry the keyboard in a bag or backpack. Since I also have an Apple TV I like the fact that I can pair my Logitech K811 with up to 3 devices and simply press F1, F2 and F3 to select which device I want to use it with. Since you have an iPhone and an iPod Touch, you could pair both and whichever device you apir first is available with F1, the second device you pair would be on F2. The Logitech K811 is, however, ?$70 (on Amazon, it can be more in stores) and some people on the list also quite like the Amazon Basics Bluetooth keyboard which you can buy on Amazon for I think around $25. Re: Rotor command on the QWERTY keyboard
Sieghard is correct. The only tiny thing I'd add is that the virtual keyboard on the iDevices can also be referred to as a querty keyboard since it's keys are laid out just as if you were using a standard querty typewriter or keyboard. Re: Rotor command on the QWERTY keyboard
That's only when Quick Nav is on. The OP is asking about commands when Quick Nav is off, which I don't believe exist. You can use vo-cmd-left/right to cycle through the speech rotor, but that is for things like speed and volume of the TTS.
