Re: Skype interruptions

2016-06-16 Thread Gordan Radić

I believe DND is far better solution. If you set Airplane mode than
you're loosing Internet connection and maybe some background
refreshing for certain apps and getting of SMS, iMessages and
e-mail. If you re-enable WiFi in the Airplane mode anyone can call
you using Facetime or any other VoIP service.
In fact, this was happening with Viber some time ago, not sure about
the WhatsApp or FB Messenger.

Hi,

I’m new to Skype.

Today I was on an important Skype call.

During this call, several incoming FaceTime
or Skype calls interrupted and disconnected the important
  Skype call.

As I will be doing this important Skype
call on a weekly basis, is there any way to stop or reduce
  such interruptions?

Thanks in advance, Keith

Now, go settings, face-time and switch it off. after the call, follow these

RE: Skype interruptions

2016-06-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
You can turn Facetime off, then put the phone in Airplane mode and re-enable
Wi-Fi. This is definitely a problem and while Apple did not say anything about
this, maybe in iOS 10 you will just be notified of an incoming phone or
Facetime call when you use Skype or another Voip service and you have thew
option to either accept or decline it. Considering how apparently the Phone app
will be much more deeply integrated with Voip this is hopefully possible.

Sieghard

You could always put your phone in airplane or do not disturb mode. In order to
stop FaceTime calls, you'll need to turn off Wi-Fi, though, so I'm not sure if
airplane mode with Wi-Fi enabled, plus do not disturb will work for Facetime
calls.

Thanks,
Ari
