Re: TV Apps

2013-06-30 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I use the TiVo app, and when I want to get to channel 751 I use the item
chooser with a two finger triple tap. The TiVo also has a built in
search feature that will take me directly to channel 751 or ESPN HD. I
would suspect the TV Guide app also has such a feature.

I just use the TV Guide app. It's accessible and free. You do need
to do the setup when you first install the app such as cable TV, or
through the air etc. Once setup is complete, just flick right to
move forward through the channels such as channel 7, channel 8,
etc. When you get to the channel you want, the currant program is
announced by voice over. Flick up or down to see what's on that
channel in the next time slot or the previous time slot etc.

I noticed that within the app categories none of them are being

The only channels I can read are those under the popular categories

Not with the TV Guide app. It's just a listings service. To watch live on
your iPhone you would need to talk to your providerlike ATT for example. If
you already have cable etc, you can get an app that will let you watch programs
on your phone. How it works exactly I'm not sure of because I don't care much
about TV to want to watch it on my phone.

I just use the TV Guide app. It's accessible and free. You do need to do
the setup when you first install the app such as cable TV, or through the air
etc. Once setup is complete, just flick right to move forward through the
channels such as channel 7, channel 8, etc. When you get to the channel you
want, the currant program is announced by voice over. Flick up or down to see
what's on that channel in the next time slot or the previous time slot etc.

Hi everyone:
Is any one of you using the app, justin.tv?
I noticed that within the app categories none of them are being read by
voice over. All voiceover reads perfectly are the category names.
The only channels I can read are those under the popular categories
anyone has found a way around this?
thanks
