I've only been using it for a few days, but I see an Unfavored button on the

From the profile page, select the item you want to delete, swipe down.
VoiceOver will say delete. double tap and the item will be gone from your
favorites list.

When you're on a station, locate the "now playing" screen and then the
button and activate it. You're probaby getting waylaid on the social media
screen clutter. Another thing you can try is, "enter car mode". (That may
make it easier.)

What a great post. Thanks for the humor and advice both. Do you
recommend g mail or yahoo or some other that is more accessible than they used
to be?
I turned to the iphone to spare my hands and fingers from typing so
much but now I find that the gestures take as much if not more time and effort
to get where I want, since there are so many more things I can do with the
phone than the computer - other than word processing. That is why having to
plug in account info is as one person put it, a hassle. It's convenient to
have this little thing right there within reach anytime I want, so that is a
plus, but there is a lot of fussing that goes on all the same. Hopefully as I
get better and better at using the phone, I'll be wasting a whole lot less time
doing simple functions.

The app can be used. However, preset or favorite stations cannot be accessed or

across a wide range of devices and platforms.
For those concerned about privacy, establish a junk e-mail address and supply a
different name and false demographic information. No one takes a truthfulness
pledge for TuneIn radio or a recipe site.
Deliberate disobedience is the ultimate form of institutional defiance.

Very Interesting RE: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Jim Portillo
I decided to try something. I completely removed the app from my iPhone and
then figured I'd try and reinstall it. I knew it would wipe out the "recents"
I had, but they weren't many. Sure enough, the reinstalled app worked the way
it used to. Very strange.

I'm sorry for this thread. I hope I didn't start something here.

I guess for those who haven't had to upgrade the app, it's not a problem.
I was just surprised that when I got my new iPhone and when I got all of my
apps back from the cloud and iTunes, this new TuneIn app came up.
That hadn't happened when I upgraded from my 4 to 5, but when I upgraded from a
5 to a 6, it did.
I guess I'm stuck, because there seems to be no way to circumvent this issue.
And again, it's not about creating junk email or identities. It's more the
principle of being able to use an app I've used since 2010 without any hassle.
And yes, iTunes Pro is what I have.
Thanks much for everything.
Jim

2015-01-04 Thread Flor Lynch
TuneIn Radio is, in fact, the principal radio app to have if you’re a radio
listening enthusiast. It mentions every station there is on its database, and
plays the vast bulk of those active (and not geoblocked). It also renders
stations using Flashh playable in iOS, because of its own player.

Re: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Andy Baracco
I created the account on the PC. No big deal! More and more services like this
are requiring that you set up an account. Get used to it!

Hi,

Is there any way of using TuneIn without having to log in or create an account
or anything of the sort? I don’t remember having to do this until I got a new
version of TuneIn.

RE: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Jim Portillo

Jim

The app can be used. However, preset or favorite stations cannot be
accessed or saved without an account. The account allows the app to
be used seamlessly across a wide range of devices and platforms.

For those concerned about privacy, establish a junk e-mail address and
supply a different name and false demographic information. No one
takes a truthfulness pledge for TuneIn radio or a recipe site.
Deliberate disobedience is the ultimate form of institutional
defiance.

Yeah, I bought the Pro version about two months ago. (It allows you to set

Hi,
I have used this app for years and have never created an account. I don’t know
if this is still the case but I purchased the Pro version This could be why I
have not had to do this. If I remember correctly I paid a couple of dollars or
so. So you could check if they still have a pro version.

You can have a number of Favorite stations (or ‘presets’ as they used to be

Hi,

Is there any way of using TuneIn without having to log in or create an account
or anything of the sort? I don’t remember having to do this until I got a new
version of TuneIn.

Jim

Re: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Agent086b
Hi,
I have used this app for years and have never created an account. I don’t know
if this is still the case but I purchased the Pro version This could be why I
have not had to do this. If I remember correctly I paid a couple of dollars or
so. So you could check if they still have a pro version.

Re: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Actually there is one good benefit to creating an account for Tune In Radio. If
you have an account with them and you forge to back up everything from your old
iPhone or you lose your old iPhone and then by a new one, if you create an
account, all of your favorites will be saved. This isn't restricted to the
iPhone. If you were to use Tune In Radio on another device besides an iDevice,
you can log in and all your favorite stations are right there in front of you.

RE: TuneIn question

2015-01-04 Thread Jim Portillo
Yeah. I was using TuneIn all the time before the upgrade to my new iPhone, and
when I get the newer version on the upgrade, it began wanting my account info.
I've not used it since, and I really do like it. Something about the principle
of it all more than anything.

I couldn't agree more. I hate all these sites that want you to create an
account (giving all your details) for no really good reason. There are a number
of recipe sites that do this. Now you could really get me started about those
sites that ask for so much info before allowing you anything--but I'd best stop
here!:)
